Beyond the many benefits of mindfulness that I have experienced in my own life, I have witnessed the effectiveness of mindfulness in my work as a psychotherapist.

With eating problems of all kinds, depression, and anxiety, mindfulness has helped people make and sustain positive changes in their lives.

Since November 2016, I have been studying and practicing to be a facilitator for the Eat Right Now® program, designed by addiction psychiatrist Judson Brewer, MD, PhD. He has also developed app-based mindfulness programs for smoking and anxiety.

Join me for live group support for people using the Habit Change apps developed by Dr. Brewer to use mindfulness to support positive change.

So many people struggle with food and eating, anxiety, and other lifestyle issues! Mindfulness can be very effective in changing unhealthy habits of mind and behavior. The apps offer ten minute video lessons daily, a variety of exercises, goal-setting and check-in methods, and an online community where people ask questions and share their journeys.

I have been learning the Eat Right Now® program as a facilitator-in-training since November of 2016, and have found the techniques and technology to be surprisingly powerful in addressing some of my own poor habits.

Judson Brewer, MD PhD has developed and researched programs that
use mindfulness to change negative habits and strengthen healthy ones.

Over the course of 10 years, at Yale University’s Neuroscience Clinic and now as Director of Research at the Center for Mindfulness and associate professor in medicine and psychiatry at UMass Medical School, Dr. Brewer has created mindfulness apps and programs to address cigarette smoking, mindless eating and anxiety issues.
