couples-workshopsIf you and your partner feel stuck in repetitive conflict, or distant and disconnected, consider investing one day learning how to break old patterns and create a more loving connection.

My colleague Ruth Jampol, PhD and I conduct couples workshops in various locations in Philadelphia and Bucks County.

Based on Dr. Sue Johnson’s groundbreaking book, Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love, these workshops introduce a well researched and effective approach that helps couples move from frustration and loneliness toward a secure, loving bond.

In this one-day seminar, you will learn how to use information from the new science of love to deepen and strengthen your emotional connection, heal past hurts, and change ineffective patterns of interaction. The class uses videos, group discussions, role-plays, and exercises (practiced privately) in a safe and supportive atmosphere.

A wide range of couples have benefited from this workshop, including some who wanted to strengthen an already satisfactory relationship and others who experienced years of conflict or disengagement. Whether you and your partner are embarking on a new relationship or you have been married 40 years, whether you are gay or straight, whether you have tried couples therapy or have never gone to a therapist, this workshop can help you deepen your connection and your understanding of one another.

Ruth Jampol, PhD and I are licensed psychologists and founding members of the Philadelphia Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy who have many years experience helping couples and leading educational workshops. We are also available to give free talks to your community organization. For more information, or to register for a couples workshop, contact us today!
